The short version
We collect what you type into a form, and nothing else that identifies you. We do not sell it. We do not add you to a mailing list. You can have it deleted by asking.
Information about businesses
The grades on this site are built from publicly available material: a business's own website, and its public Google Business Profile. Business contact details published by a business for business purposes are not personal information under Canadian privacy law, and that is the basis on which they are shown here.
If you are a sole proprietor and your business listing contains your personal information, that distinction can blur. Tell us and we will remove it.
Information about you
Two forms on this site collect personal information:
- Claiming a report. Your name and email address, so we can send the report to the business it belongs to.
- Asking for quotes. Your name, your email address or phone number, your town, and what you described about the job, so the request can be passed to businesses in that trade.
We use that information for the thing you asked for, and for replying to you about it. We do not use it for anything else, we do not sell or rent it, and submitting a form does not put you on a mailing list.
How long we keep it
Report claims and quote requests are kept for two years, then deleted. Ask us sooner and we will delete them sooner.
Who else sees it
A quote request is shared with the businesses it is sent to, which is the purpose of sending it. Nothing else you give us is shared with anyone outside Headway, except where the law requires it. The site runs on Vercel and stores data with Supabase, and email is sent through Resend; those providers process data on our behalf.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted. Email hello@headwaydigital.ca and we will answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
